Last Saturday was a proud day for Lorrha GAA club as we fielded a third adult hurling team for the first time in many years. 25 hurlers made themselves available to don the blue and white jersey at Tony Reddin Park for this North Junior C Hurling Championship match against Kilruane MacDonaghs.
On one of the hottest days of the last few months, the Lorrha lads acquitted themselves very well against a talented Kilruane outfit, and all players got game time.
Thanks to everybody who answered the call in recent weeks to play for the Junior C team. They will go on to face Silvermines and Borris-Ileigh in their group in the coming weeks, and we encourage everybody to get out and support them in their efforts to win a North title.
