North Tipperary GAA Awards: It was a great honour for the club to host the 2023 North Tipperary GAA Awards ceremony last Saturday night. Thanks to all for participating in what turned out to be a great night at the Tony Reddin Centre. A big thank you to all who helped out on Friday evening and Saturday morning, in preparing the complex, doing traffic control, amplification as well as catering, the bar and contributing to the clean-up afterwards. 

Well done to all the winners, including our own Patrick Maher who picked up the Premier Intermediate Hurler of the Year award from Liam King who was special guest, while Michael Dolan accepted the winners medals.

Schools: Best wishes to the Lorrha players Conor Kennedy and Niall Duggan as Portumna Community School take on Holy Rosary Mountbellew in the Connacht Senior ‘B’ Hurling Final on Wednesday 21st February.

Strength & Conditioning: Introduction starting in the sports hall on Thursday 22nd February for all players aged 7 to 17 with Conor Sullivan. 7- 7.30pm for primary school players, 7.30 -8pm for secondary school players.

Under 15 & 17: Lorrha Rovers Gaels commence training in Borrisokane Community College Ball wall and sports complex on Monday evenings 8-9pm.

Congratulations: to Lee Mannion and Gwilym Tooher on being selected to Tipperary U14 hurling development squad, also to Darragh Duffy who joins the U15 Tipp development squad.

Coaching: Thanks to coaching officer Padraig Madden on recruiting new coaches and mentors for 2024. They have been very busy completing vetting, foundation level coaching courses and will complete Child Safeguarding course in the coming weeks. We wish all teams and management a successful year ahead.

Social Dancing: Continues in the Tony Reddin Centre next Friday night from 9.30pm to the music of the Finbarr Dennehy band.

Membership: Is now due. It must be paid before participating in any training or game, or activity, on the field, or in the gym. €40 for juvenile and non-playing members; €60 for student with gym membership; €100 for adult with gym membership. Membership can be paid on Foireann or Clubforce, where you can also sign up for the lotto at a reduced rate.
