Patrick Maher inter-county retirement: Congratulations to Patrick Maher on his sixteen year career with Tipperary after announcing his retirement this week. Everyone in Lorrha is very proud of his achievements, and we thank him for all of the brilliant memories. ‘Bonner’ won three senior All-Irelands, as well as All-Ireland minor and under-21 titles. He won two All-Stars and five Munster titles and is an inspiration to everyone in the parish.

Junior C Hurling: Lorrha defeated Roscrea 3-8 to 3-7 in their final group game on Saturday to progress to the North semi-final where they will play Ballina in Ballina next Sunday at 12 noon. 

Under 21 Hurling: Lorrha Rovers begin the North ‘B’ Championship on Sunday, October 20, away to Portroe.

Social Dancing: Continues this Friday night at 9.30pm in the Tony Reddin Centre to the music of Dermot & Fergal McConnell.

Euro-Millions: Try and get tickets back as soon as possible, preferably with full books. All efforts are greatly appreciated.

Tony Reddin film launch: The Heritage Subcommittee of Lorrha Development Association proudly presents: “Hero of Three Counties” – a screening of video interviews celebrating the life of the legendary Tony Reddin this Saturday, 12th October at 7:30pm at the Tony Reddin Community Centre at Lorrha GAA Club (E45EP60).

Enjoy incredible stories from Maura Reddin, Majella Reddin, Paddy Dermody, Michael Liffey, Philip McIntyre, Pat McLoughney, Brian and Pad Joe Whelahan, Seamus King, and Damien Martin. Admission is €10 so come along for a wonderful evening of memories and community spirit!
