On Saturday night, May 7th, we are holding a club forum with the intention of creating a short to medium term plan for the GAA and Camogie clubs, Adult and Juvenile, on and off the field.
It won’t be a prolonged ‘talking shop’. It will be a structured brainstorming session facilitated by Mark McLoughlin from the County Board starting at 8pm, lasting no longer than two hours. We need everyone who has an interest in the club to attend, both members and non-members.
The club needs to make a plan for what we want to do over the coming years, be it coaching, player development, winning championships, facility development, etc. This night will be the starting point in preparing that plan. All ideas are welcome and will be recorded for further consideration for inclusion in the club plan. We wish to have that plan in place and launched before the end of the summer, including implementation timelines.
We have a club we can be proud of. We have faced challenges on the field in recent times but we also have reasons to be optimistic for the future. With an organised plan in place, we can ensure we can continue to compete with clubs in Tipperary both on and off the field.
Tipperary legend, Pádraic Maher, will attend as a guest speaker on the night. It is an honour for the club to have one of the all time great Tipperary hurlers (and people) to attend.
Please come along and add your voice. We need it and value it. Let this be the night where the next chapter of Lorrha & Dorrha GAA & Camogie, adult and juvenile, begins.
