Successful club planning forum held for future of Lorrha GAA & Camogie

LORRHA GAA CLUB PLANNING FORUM 3

Lorrha GAA & Camogie clubs would like to extend our gratitude to everybody who attended our club planning forum at the Tony Reddin Community Centre at Moatfield last Saturday night.

Three-time All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship winner Paudie Maher was guest of honour on the night, and it was great to welcome him back to Moatfield to talk to us about the importance of club in the community.

County Board facilitator Mark McLoughlin organised the discussion for the night, with designated tables discussing matters such as club governance and financing, PR, communications, culture, facilities, health & fitness, coaching development, volunteerism and inclusion. We’d like to thank Mark for his help, and for leading a well structured discussion.

Lots of good ideas were brought forward, and the work now starts into putting those ideas into a club strategy document for the next few years. That work will get underway in the next few weeks.

Thanks to all those involved in helping to cater the event too, and to the broad range of people from all demographics who attended on the night. Lorrha abú!
