Well done to our Intermediate hurlers who secured a hard-fought victory over neighbours Borrisokane in the quarter-finals of the County Hurling Championship on Saturday afternoon in Nenagh.
Our lads started out well building a 1-10 to 0-6 lead at half-time, with the goal coming from Christopher Fogarty. Borrisokane ate into the lead throughout the second half, and took the lead late on. Brian Hogan levelled the game in the last minute of injury time with a free to send it to extra time.
It remained very tense and tight in extra time, but we prevailed in the end to book our place in the semi-finals. The draw will be made in the coming day or two, and the game will either take place next weekend or the following weekend.
